At this time of year, bluebonnets are on my mind. I did this painting on masa paper....a very thin paper that I crinkle up and then glue onto watercolor paper before painting.

- About the Artist...... Written by Carol Schmidt Popular artist Barb Starner has returned to her beloved Montana, bringing with her a new intensity and power in her work. Always one of the Big Sky States most cherished watercolorists, Starner lived, taught and created in Texas for two decades before returning to her Montana home. Starner now lives and works in her studio in Bozeman, where she welcomes visitors and she shows her work at The Artists Gallery in The Emerson Art Center. She also spends part of the year painting in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
